Yunnan Featured Yi Ethnic Dance Staged in Lancaster House

The featured Yi ethnic dance Tiaocai was staged on 21 October at the Lancaster House of UK. The visiting Chinese president Xi Jinping and Prince William attended the show. This is the first time the Tiaocai dance is put on in Europe.

Popular in the Yi inhabited area of Nanjian County of Dali Prefecture of Yunnan Province, Tiaocai is a traditional etiquette for serving dishes at banquets integrating dance and music. The dancers serve the whole set of dishes in a humorous manner while dancing to the rhythms.
