Lijiang Tourist Attraction Gets Web Media's Eye

A media delegation of more than 100 Chinese Internet media editors and journalists decided to pay a visit recently to Lijiang, a beautiful tourist attraction in Yunnan province to learn something about the local Dongba culture with the help of the local folk artisan association.

Lijiang is the main home of the Naxi ethnic group and has a Naxi autonomous county, plenty of other tourist attractions, and the Dongba culture, so the visitors were treated to a number of folk songs and dances presented by more than 300 artists from ethnic groups.

The Dongba culture has a history of more than 1,000 years, which is captured in paintings, music, dance and rituals that make Lijiang an immensely popular tourist area. There is a Dongba culture museum in Heilongtan Park, at the foot of Beixiang Mountain, another popular destination for visitors.
