Kunming Holds First Pu'er Tea Balm Symposium
Yunnan's first Pu'er Tea Balm Symposium was held at the Kunming Hongyi Tea Cultural Center on July 11.
The symposium activity was jointly organized by the Yunnan Pu'er Tea Collection Association, China Tea Balm Museum and Mengdun Tea Company. Experts and delegations at the conference had discussions aimed at promoting Pu'er tea balm.
Tea balm is one of ancient China's most technically difficult agricultural products to grow and has a history of more than 1,000 years.
Since 2005, Mengdun Tea Company has focused on producing the high-quality Pu'er tea balm. The company has released a tea balm book named Pu'er Tea Balm to publicize the tea culture. It has also established the country's first tea balm-themed museum.
"It's the 10th year since the establishment of Mengdun Tea Company. We are now trying to produce more high-quality tea products," said Cui Huaigang, general manager of Mengdun Company.
