  • Day 1 Arrival in Jinghong

    Upon arrival in Jinghong, your tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel for a rest. Then you can have a free leisure around the city for the rest of the day.

  • Day 2 Jinghong/Yiwu
    Meals: B, L

    After breakfast, you will take a morning drive to Yiwu, a small town witnessed the rise and fall of tea trade in the history, see the old part of town and the stele erected in Qing Dynasty that recorded the trade situation at that time, pay visit to local families that are still producing Pu'er Tea in the traditional way. Visit the Yiwu Mountain Tea Plantation and Puer tea factory.  Stay in Yiwu Town.

  • Day 3 Yiwu/Youle/Gedeng/Jinghong
    Meals: B, L

    After breakfast you will drive to Youle Tea Mountain, the settlement of the Jinuo people. The Jinuo people, was called Youle people in the past, who started tea plantation along the two sides of Buyuan River more than a thousand years ago. The area of tea plantation was up to at least 4,000 mu In the early years of the Ming Dynasty. Nowaday ancient tea gardens over 2,000 mu has most anicent tea trees with a trunk over 100 cm around Longpa Village and Balai Village.  The merchants entered the Youleshan for tea trade from the Han Dynasty.

    In the afternoon,  continue to drive to Gedeng mounatain, one of the six major tea mountains where ethnic minorities have always been respected Kong Ming( prime minister of ancient Shu Kingdom) as the tea ancestors.  They named a local Kong Ming Mountain for commemoration. There Old Gedeng Village saw a rise of tea trade and a fall of tea trade due to hundreds of Mu ancient tea garden around the village was  completely destroyed.  Only a few tea trees can be seen now!

  • Day 4 Jinghong/Hekai/Lao Banzhang
    Meals: B, L

    We leave at 08:30 and takes about 1 hour to the Hekai Ancient Tea Garden. There are 6 Lahu villages with more than 2,600 population on the Hekai Tea Mountain. The ancient tea trees grow around ethnice houses and create the most beautiful tea mountain landscape: "Tea in the forest, the village in the tea garden" in harmony with nature.  

    After Chinese lunch at 13:00, you will go to Old Banzhang Ancient Tea Garden, located in Bulang Township in the southeast of Menghai County. The word "banzhang" means: "a fish" in local Dai minority dialects. The Old Banzhang tea grows at a good ecological environment and the tea leaves are picked up from ancient tea tree. Thus the Old Banzhang tea and tea cake are famous for its distinctive fragrance of the ancient tree tea and has has a special status in the Pu'er tea industry. The trade of Old Banzhang Tea makes local people a very rich village life.

  • Day 5 Menghai/Bulang/Nannuo/Jinghong
    Meals: B, L

    After breakfast, you will take a 2.5-hour drive to the Bulang Tea Mountain in Menghai County of Xishuangbanna, near the China-Myanmar border.  As a famous Pu'er tea producing area, the Bulang Tea Mountain, covers an area of more than 1,000 square kilometers with the well-preserved ancient tea gardens around Banzhang, Laomane and Manxinlong tea villages. Among the villages, the oldest Laoman'e  Tea Village has a history of over 1400 years. Bulang people is the fisrt ethnic tribe to cultivate and plant tea trees, make tea leaves and  drink tea  in the area of Bulang Mountain.  

    An afternoon drive to Nannuo Tea Mountain, well known for a cultivated ancient tea tree king. The king tea tree with a trunk diameter of 1.38 meters at tree age of over 800 years. Since ancient times, Nannuo has been the most famous ancient tea mountain on the west bank at the lower reaches of the Lancang River, and an important raw material source for high-quality Pu'er tea.

    No one knew when Bulang people began to grow tea trees on the Nanxun Mountain. Until the Nanzhao period, the ancestors of Bulang people moved out of Nannuo Mountain and left the tea gardens to Aini people. And since then Aini people have lived in Nannuo Tea Mountain through more than 1,100 years.

  • Day 6 Jinghong Departure
    Meals: B

    On this day you will be free until your tour guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.


Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.


Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.


Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.


Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.


Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
