Kunming Museum Memorizes Wen Yiduo with Exhibition
To mark the 70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945), the city of Kunming in Yunnan province arranged an exhibition in commemoration of China's famous scholar Wen Yiduo on July 15.
Wen Yiduo (1899-1946) was a scholar, painter, scholar and democratic fighter. To display the scholar's life track and his talents in literature and artistic creation, the exhibition displayed 150 pictures, 130 letters and things used by him, such as his cane and scarf.
Wen Yiduo's grandson Wen Liming, who is a professor from Modern Chinese History Institute, was also present at the exhibition. He said he felt very gratified that Kunming can hold the exhibition to memorize his grandfather. Wen family hold a strong emotion towards Kunming for Wen Yiduo spent his last period of life here.
The exhibition will run until Aug 14.
