Local Drama to Feature at Kunming Theatre

Kunming Theatre in Yunnan province will put on a local drama called Self Examination on Sept 11 and 12. The drama was formerly performed at a courtyard in Kunming and was well received by an audience of around 3,000 people.

Self Examination tells the story of the Mu family’s ups and downs during the period from the end of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) to the Republic of China (1912-1949). The story depicts the courage of Chinese people and their sense of responsibility in fighting against Japanese aggression.
