Lijiang Seeks Cooperation in CSA Expo Kunming 2015

Lijiang of Yunnan province is expected to develop cooperation with foreign enterprises at the 3rd China-South Asia Expo. 23 local enterprises will also take part in this expo, according to the authority.

And more than 100 products from Lijiang will be displayed at the expo in Kunming during June 12-16, which sees an increase of 30 percent over the last year’s number of products.

Lijiang government puts emphasis on attracting investment in 2015. The Lijiang bureau of commerce inked agreements with Alibaba Group, a Chinese e-commerce giant in April for opening online store featuring Lijiang characteristic at Taobao, Chinese e-commerce platform.

The city is also looking to highlight its ethnic culture and tourism at the CSA Expo.

The director of Lijiang bureau of commerce said that the Naxi ethnic group's Dongba culture will be employed to decorate exhibition hall at the expo.

He also mentioned that tourism plays a vital role in developing local economy, as the city is home to enormous famous tourist attractions including Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Baishui River and Lugu Lake.

While Lijiang government has already reached consensus with Zhujiang Film Group headquartered in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on May 23 to build an ethnic culture plaza in the city.

"The support from Zhujiang Film Group will speed up the development and upgrade local tourism," said Zhang Zejun, the Mayor of the city.
