- Dashanbao Nature Reserve is located in the Dashanbao Township of Yunnan Province, southwest China, and is 79 km away from downtown Zhaotong City.

- The Lucky Air of Yunnan is to launch direct air routes connecting Kunming of China and Phuket of Thailand as of 16 July 2015. The air route will be the third direct one by the Lucky Air connecting Kunming (Yunnan) and Thailand, following the routes of Kunming-Samui and Kunming-Krabi.
- For the sake of eco environment, the cormorant-fishing show in the Erhai Lake in Dali was displaced to the runoffs of the Lake as of 30 June.
- The Lugu Lake airport in Ninglang County of Lijiang in the northwest of Yunnan Province is estimated to be put into use in October 2015, with direct flights connecting the Lugu Lake Resort and Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing and Beijing.
- July 8 saw the Yunnan tourism promotion event held in the Hotel Meliá Castilla Madrid, Spain. The event was sponsored by Yunnan Provincial Tourism Development Commission, and Spain is the third stop of Yunnan tourism promotion in Europe.
- The 4th Nie Er Music Week commenced in the city of Yuxi in Southwest China's Yunnan province on July 17. Nie Er, the composer of the Chinese national anthem, and to mark the 80th anniversary of creating the national song of People's Republic of China.
- Compared with the other China's native operas, Yunnan Opera is developing well. However, statistics show that the number of Yunnan opera troupes has been decreasing in recent years.
