- An art exhibition organized by Huaping county's publicity department opened in Lijiang Museum from Nov 1-20, Yunnan.net reported. Altogether 91 art works will depict the daily lives of local residents in Huaping county.
- Lugu Lake, also known as Lianghai Lake and Zuosuohai Lake, is located on the border between the Ninglang Yi ethnic autonomous prefecture of Yunnan province and the Liangshan Yi ethnic prefecture.
- By October 2013, a total of 3 million passengers passed through the airport, setting a new record for annual passenger throughput at Lijiang Airport. That record has been broken this year.

- Wengding Wa village, home to China's last primitive tribe, is located in the southwest of Lincang, Yunnan province. In the local Wa dialect, wengding (翁丁) means "connected water."
- Magnitude-6.1 earthquake hits Ludian County of Zhaotong City in the northeast of China's Yunnan Province, Sunday afternoon (3 August). At present, the dead toll has climbed to 589, and there has been no tourist toll, injury or stranding reported.
